New Chinese Culinary Centre to open in Liverpool

Lu Ban Restaurant Liverpool, a brand new restaurant opening on 1st November 2019, is to become the new Chinese Culinary Arts Centre of the UK. The Restaurant will specialise in regional Chinese food, with recipes and techniques from the Tianjin region, home of Tianjin School of Cuisine.

The restaurant, at the former Cain’s Brewery site in the Baltic Triangle, will feature small plates, tasting menus and Tianjin banquets.

The Lu Ban Restaurant isn’t a traditional’ Chinese restaurant, it is something very different. This is very much about regional specialities from one of the finest region’s for cuisine in China. The chefs from Tianjin are world renown for the quality of the food and this is what we are replicating here.

The restaurant interiors have been designed by Liverpool designer Angela Rawson, mixing Chinese art and culture with the raw industrial heritage of the brewery.

Following a multi-million-pound build and fit-out in the Baltic Triangle site, the new restaurant will offer a contemporary approach to Chinese cuisine, and guests can choose from an array of unique dining experiences. The beautifully designed space will contain an elegant private dining room, a creative food lab, impressive wine room with an extensive wine cellar, and contemporary main dining room, as well as a relaxed bar area.

The menus are now available on for the Liverpool Restaurant and you can try your hand at ordering your own dishes, or just select the set menu which has been hand picked by the Head Chef as the best way to sample all of his exquisite dishes.

As well as the excellent food, the Lu Ban Restaurant offers fabulous cocktails and wines, and turns these and the food into some wonderful experiences. These range from Chef for the Day to Tea Tasting, Food and Drink pairing and more.
